‘Skullgirls Encore’ “Eliza” DLC Coming To PS3 And PC Next Week

While the Xbox 360 owners may have to wait a little longer, the next DLC character from the “Keep Skullgirls Growing!” campaign will be available next week for the PC and PS3 versions of Skullgirls Encore.

While the original version of Skullgirls was pulled from PSN and Xbox Live Arcade at Konami’s request, the 2D Fighter from Lab Zero Games resurfaced earlier this year as Skullgirls Encore. The re-release included the additional character color-palettes and DLC character Squigly at launch; the revamped version also added balancing-tweaks, changes to the UI, and included support for any future DLC. While owners of the original 360 version could transfer their save data into the updated release, PS3 owners had to start from scratch, as Encore was distributed as a completely new title, and not an update.

Two of the five DLC characters funded via the “Keep Skullgirls Growing!” Indie Go Go campaign- Squigly and Big Band- are already available across all platforms, along with the April Fool’s character Fukua. A completed build of the third DLC character has been available to those currently playing the Endless Beta on PC; earlier today, it was revealed that the Egyptian seductress Eliza will see her official release next Tuesday (US) on both PS3 and PC.

A specific date was not given, but the 360 release will come at a later time. At the time of this posting, Eliza herself can be downloaded for the 360 version, however the update that enables her for play has not been finalized.

While there’s very little footage, Lab Zero has already begun development on the fourth DLC character, Beowulf.
