The final DLC character from the “Keep Skullgirls Growing!” Indie Go Go campaign wrestles his way into Skullgirls Encore this Friday.
Skullgirls fans can finally rejoice, as the next DLC character will be available in the full release of Skullgirls Encore this Friday. A retired wrestler and Cerebella’s idol, Beowulf is a grapple-based fighter, and the second playable male character added to the roster. The wolf-skinned, chair-wielding fighter is the product of a highly successful Indie Go Go campaign held in 2013; Beowulf is the fourth character from the campaign, following Eliza, Big Band and Squigly.
According to both the Skullgirls Facebook page and Twitter account, the Beowulf update should be administered to the PC, 360 and PS3 versions sometime this Friday, via Steam, XBLA and PSN. Those who have the Japanese PSN version will also have to wait; the Japanese update has been approved, but Sony has yet to administer a release date.
As with the past DLC characters, Beowulf will be free for the first 3 months after his release for all versions of Skullgirls Encore. The additional DLC character Robo-Fortune is currently in-development, but has no release window.
