More ‘Project X Zone 2’ Characters Revealed

A handful of new additions to Project X Zone 2 have been revealed, adding characters from the likes of God Eater 2 and Ace Attorney into the chaotic mix.

Featuring characters from the Capcom, Bandai Namco, Monolith Soft and Sega archives, Project X Zone is one of the most insane cross-over titles to ever come overseas; Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Valkyria Chronicles, Ghouls N’ Ghosts, Darkstalkers, Space Channel 5, Super Robot Wars, Tekken and Xenosaga are just some of the numerous franchises represented by the robust cast. The 3DS-exclusive is a truly unique gameplay experience, as it blends elements from both the Fighting and Strategy/Tactical RPG genres.

Developer Monolith Soft announced the return of Project X Zone, with a sequel scheduled to release this Fall worldwide. While details surrounding the plot are scarce, the teaser gave fans a small taste of the roster; over 50 characters will be featured in Project X Zone 2, including several returning faces, and numerous additions to the franchise. Apart from the characters shown in Monolith’s teaser trailer, the latest issue of Famitsu indicates that characters from Ace Attorney, Streets of Rage and God Eater 2 will be present in the sequel.

The recently revealed characters and their franchises/games are as follows:

Capcom:

  • Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney
  • Maya Fey, Ace Attorney
  • Ryu, Street Fighter (returning)
  • Ken, Street Fighter (returning)

Sega:

  • Axel Stone, Streets of Rage
  • Gemini Sunrise, Sakura Wars (returning)
  • Sakura Shinguji, Sakura Wars (returning)

Bandai Namco:

  • Nana Kazuki, God Eater 2
  • Ciel Alencon, God Eater 2
  • Aty, Summon Night 3

Project X Zone 2 is expected to release worldwide this Fall for the 3DS; an official release date has not been scheduled.
