Relive the classic NES era of Mega Man with the Mega Man Legacy Collection, coming to next-gen consoles, PC and the 3DS.
After hinting at more “Remastered” and “HD Collection” releases during their annual fiscal review meeting, Capcom revealed Mega Man Legacy Collection as part of their E3 2015 lineup. This new collection contains the first six games in the Mega Man “Classic” series, which released for the NES between 1987-1994. The Legacy Collection uses the Eclipse Engine from developer Digital Eclipse, to present the classic 8-bit games in 1080p.
Mega Man Legacy Collection includes a handful of extras, featuring the Challenge Mode which “remixes gameplay from all six games”, the Museum Mode containing design notes and concept art, online leaderboards and video replays.
Mega Man Legacy Collection will release for $14.99 as a digital title for Xbox One, PS4 and PC this Summer; the 3DS version will arrive sometime this Winter.
