The Summer-themed brawler Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is heading to North America just in time…for Winter.
From Marvelous and Tamsoft, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is the latest installment in the Japanese anime/manga/gaming franchise. North American audiences have only seen just a few of the titles across the Nintendo 3DS eShop, PS3 and PS Vita, however Estival Versus marks the seventh installment in the shameless-yet-astoundingly-popular series; Senran Kagura Burst, Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit and Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus were previously localized by publisher XSEED.
In an announcement made through Twitter, XSEED revealed that Senran Kagura: Estival Versus would have an official North American version, scheduled to release sometime this Winter. While the two versions both feature nearly identical content, Estival Versus will not support cross-platform multiplayer between the PS4 and PS Vita; the PS4 version will support up to 10-players online, with the PS Vita release limited to 4.
An official release date has not been set, however an announcement may come during E3 2015, as Estival Versus is one of XSEED’s many titles to be highlighted during the expo. The Sony-exclusive release follows after the 3DS-exclusive Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, set to drop on Aug. 11.
