Kagura will soon be playable in Senran Kagura: Estival Versus with a new DLC update coming this week.
Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson released for North American audiences this past September as a 3DS-exclusive title. A direct sequel to the “Crimson Girls” segment in Senran Kagura Burst, the elite former students of the Hebijo Clandestine Girl’s Academy were forced into hiding, having been labeled as refugees by their former peers. Under the title “Homura’s Crimson Squad”, the students cross paths with the students of the rival Hanzo Academy, forming a reluctant alliance as they track down the whereabouts of the powerful being Kagura before she awakens to her true potential; if Kagura were to reach her full potential, she would have the power to erase all demons from Earth along with any other life forms.
While the Sony-exclusive titles may exist outside the plot of the 3DS games, Marvelous recently revealed that Kagura will be a new playable DLC character for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. Kagura possesses all of her boss abilities from Deep Crimson, and can even transform into her armored “True Kagura” form. She can be seen below in a new gameplay clip from Marvelous Entertainemnt:
The Kagura DLC will go live for both the console and handheld versions of Estival Verus on 12/1. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is currently available for both the PS4 and PS Vita. An official date has not been scheduled, however North American versions are expected to release this Winter.
