XSEED To Localize ‘Dekamori Senran Kagura’, Coming This Winter

It looks like XSEED has been listening to their American fans, as the publisher and distributor will bring the cooking-based Senran Kagura spin-off to the US later this year.

Questionable subject matter aside, the Senran Kagura titles are surprisingly popular; the franchise has already spawned both anime and manga series based on the original Nintendo 3DS game. While the majority of games in the saga have been kept overseas- probably due to the cast of characters and their “assets”- Senran Kagura Burst was released in the US as a digital 3DS eShop title; a physical version was released in Europe. Over the past few months, XSEED has been responding to various fan questions through their Facebook page; while it was never confirmed, XSEED mentioned that localized versions of other Senran Kagura titles were a possibility in the future.

Earlier today, XSEED Games revealed a lineup of games to be shown at E3 2014. Along with the already announced NA release of Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus for the PS Vita, Dekamori Senran Kagura is also listed for a North American release. However, the rhythm-based cooking game will receive a title change, as Dekamori will release as “Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit”.

Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit is scheduled to release as a PS Vita title in Winter 2014 for North America. A direct sequel to Senran Kagura [Burst]Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson– has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS, but has not been confirmed to release in North America or any other regions.
