The ninjas of the Hanzo Academy are back for more in the upcoming PS4 and Vita sequel, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus.

The Senran Kagura video game saga began in Japan as a side-scrolling beat-em-up for the Nintendo 3DS. North America would later get an enhanced version on the 3DS eShop, with Senran Kagura Burst; this included the original Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls along with Senran Kagura: Skirting Shadows, which featured the students of the rival Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy. The series has since received a Japanese-exclusive 3DS sequel, along with a cooking-based spin-off and a PS Vita title with more in-depth gameplay- Shinovi Versus.

The upcoming Senran Kagura: Estival Versus introduces fans to a brand new cast of playable characters who have come across a tropical island; the island is inhabited by ninjas who have fallen in battle, and were once believed to be dead. Longtime fans of the series may see some familiar faces within the new PS4 and Vita title, as new screenshots were released featuring the original members of the Hanzo Academy- the original protagonists of the Senran Kagura franchise:

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus will release for the PS4 and PS Vita on 3/26 in Japan; a North American release date has not been scheduled.
