The latest trailer for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is full of new gameplay footage, a hint of the multiplayer mode, and a flagrant amount of fanservice.
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is the upcoming Sony-exclusive chapter of the Senran Kagura video game saga. The PS4 and Vita brawler is staged within a tropical-getaway (hence “Estival”, meaning “Summer” in French)-turned-supernatural mystery when the cast encounters ninjas who were once believed to have fallen in battle. As the first next-gen title in the franchise, Estival Versus features the largest stages and roster of playable characters in the saga, with over 20 ninjas to choose from across the various factions in the series.
Japanese publisher Marvelous released a new gameplay trailer (via Famitsu) earlier today. The trailer may be presented entirely in Japanese, but fans can witness several of the new characters and their special abilities in-action, along with a brief clip of the new 10-player competitive multiplayer mode. The trailer also confirms that new system mechanics and playable characters will be added through future updates:
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus will release in Japan for the PS4 and PS Vita on 3/26; a North American release date has not been scheduled.
