The newest additions to the Senran Kagura universe are highlighted in a new set of screenshots for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus.

What started as a humble Nintendo 3DS side-scrolling beat-em-up, Senran Kagura has developed into an extremely popular franchise overseas. While the character designs may be a bit questionable for today’s “politically-correct” audiences, the upcoming Senran Kagura title Estival Versus will include more than 20 playable characters from across the complete franchise. This includes the protagonists and antagonists from the 3DS titles, the Sony-exclusive games, the rhythm-cooking spin-off, the Android/iOS card game, and the anime series.

Estival Versus developer Tamsoft released a batch of screenshots and artwork for the newest additions to the Senran Kagura franchise, including the bomb-wielding Hanabi and Asuka’s grandmother Sayuri:

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is the first next-gen title in the series, and will release in Japan for the PS4 and PS Vita on 3/26.
