The card-based Valkyrie Drive game from Marvelous, Mobage and GREE has a new trailer, just no gameplay as of yet.
Valkyrie Drive was announced as a new cross-media project from Kenichiro Takaki (Senran Kagura), Hiraku Kaneko (Maken-Ki!, Witchblade, The Qwaser of Stigmata). Spanning across an anime series, console game and a mobile card-based “social” game, Valkyrie Drive‘s plot revolves around a viral outbreak that transforms young women into oversized weapons.
Earlier this month, Marvelous Entertainment released the first trailer for Valkyrie Drive: Siren, a card-battling game with social networking elements for mobile platforms. While no gameplay is present, the trailer highlights some of the characters and locations present in the social title; a few of the characters from the PS Vita title Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are shown, as Siren takes place on one of the adjacent quarantine islands.
Valkyrie Drive: Siren will release later this year, presumably alongside the release of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni for PS Vita, and the companion anime series Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid.
