The trio of Eren, Armin and Mikasa are shown in new screenshots for Koei Tecmo’s take on Attack on Titan.
Koei Tecmo and Omega Force were revealed at Gamescom 2015 to be developing a new Attack on Titan game for Sony consoles. Omega Force is currently developing the Sony-exclusive title with the PS4 as the primary platform; previous games were developed with the PS3 in mind, and were later retooled for additional consoles. Producer Hisashi Koinuma stated in an interview with Dengeki that Attack on Titan deviates from the previous Dynasty Warriors gameplay mechanics, with an open-sandbox environment and story-driven decisions that will force players to choose between forming alliances with Cadet Corps members or “sacrificing allies”.
Earlier today, a series of new screenshots were released for Attack on Titan, courtesy of Koei Tecmo. While gameplay has yet to be revealed, the new batch of screenshots show Erin, Mikasa and Armin patrolling the rooftops of the Trost district, and the real-time lighting and weather effects:
Attack on Titan will release for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita this Winter in Japan, with the North American version arriving sometime in 2016.
