BlizzCon 2016 Dated For Early November, Tickets Available This Month

Blizzard fans unite, the 10th annual BlizzCon event is set for the first weekend of November.

2016 is an eventful year for the folks at Blizzard Entertainment. Developers of the StarCraft, Diablo, and Warcraft franchises, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the studio’s restructuring as “Blizzard” (previously “Silicon & Synapse“), the 20th anniversary of the original Diablo for PC and Mac, and the 10th anniversary of the annual BlizzCon convention and tournament; Blizzard will also release a new IP this May with Overwatch, the developer’s first published attempt at a competitive FPS.

Earlier today, Blizzard announced the official dates and ticket pricing for BlizzCon 2016. A mecca for Blizzard fans and competitive gamers alike, BlizzCon is home to several exciting announcements regarding the studio’s famed properties, arguably some of the best displays of cosplay, and the finales of multiple tournaments; BlizzCon 2016 will host the global Finals matches for the 2016 StarCraft 2 World Championship Series, 2016 Hearthstone World Championship, 2016 WoW Arena World Championship, and theĀ Heroes of the Storm Fall Championship.

Two tiers of tickets will be available for purchase later this month on three select dates: Standard convention tickets will be available for purchase on 4/20 and 4/23 starting at 10am PT for $199; though at a steep price, hardcore Blizzard fans have the opportunity to purchase a $750 ticket on 4/27 after 7pm PT for a pre-BlizzCon dinner event with developers and community representatives; all proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

BlizzCon 2016 will be held in Anaheim, CA the first weekend of November- 11/4-11/5.
