The rest of the DLC characters are now available in the North American release of Senran Kagura: Estival Versus.
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is the latest installment of the cross-media Senran Kagura franchise to release in North America. The series features two loosely intertwined plots, with the Nintendo 3DS titles being the main focus of the story; despite their numerous references to the two Nintendo-exclusive games, the Sony-exclusive Senran Kagura games are mostly spin-offs. Picking up a few months after the events of Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, Estival Versus finds the students and members of each ninja school and faction locked in battle in an alternate realm, all while wrestling with the idea of staying behind with the souls of deceased loved-ones .
The last of the Estival Versus DLC characters were added to PSN earlier this week. Senran Kagura shopkeeper Ayame released in early April, however Kagura, Naraku and Ayane can now be purchased through PSN; [True] Kagura and Naraku debuted in the 3DS-exclusive Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson as the “real” final bosses, however Ayane exists through a special collaboration between Marvelous and Team Ninja, as Senran Kagura costumes can be purchased as DLC for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.
Kagura and Naraku can be purchased together for $5.99, along with Ayane at the same price; Ayane is part of the $5.99 “DOA Collaboration Set“, containing the DLC character and outfits based on Kasumi’s clothing and Ayane’s kimono.
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is available physically and digitally for PS4 and PS Vita; the title is also compatible with the PlayStation TV.
