Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni has officially been dated for September, with an exclusive Collector’s Edition coming to Europe.
Valkyrie Drive was announced last year as Senran Kagura creator Kenichiro Takaki’s new cross-media project, spanning between video games and anime; since its announcement, all three Valkyrie Drive properties have been released in Japan- Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid (anime), Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni (PS Vita) and Valkyrie Drive: Siren (mobile). Valkyrie Drive’s overall subject matter more risque than its spiritual counterparts Senran Kagura and Uppers, as the series explores the aftermath of a viral outbreak that turns women into giant weapons upon arousal.
It was announced last week that Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni would see localized releases in both North America and Europe courtesy of publisher PQube. Both versions now have an official release date scheduled for September; those who pre-order Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni will receive 8 character art “Art Cards” as a free bonus.
Along with the pre-order bonus, European gamers have the option of pre-ordering an EU-exclusive Collector’s Edition for $79.99; the Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni Liberator’s Edition includes the Art Cards, a Peach Skin PS Vita case, official soundtrack and art book. The Liberator’s Edition is currently a Rice Digital exclusive for European audiences, however PQube is looking into a North American version according to their official Twitter account.
Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni will release for the PS Vita in NA and EU on 9/16.
