The debut trailer for the Senran Kagura shooter reveals…..Well, everything except actual gameplay.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash was recently announced as the first PS4-exclusive title in the franchise. The Sony/Nintendo/PC saga is noted for its over-the-top frantic action gameplay, however the series occasionally deviates from its hack-and-slash roots, with spin-off titles in the social Card Game and Cooking/Rhythm genres; the PlayStation titles are all 3rd Person Action titles, however the series originated as a 2.5D side-scroller on the Nintendo 3DS.
Earlier this month, Marvelous and Producer Kenichiro Takaki announced Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash for the PS4. The title brings the series into the world of competitive shooters, with the ninjas of the various factions going head-to-head in a beach shootout. Various water-guns will be at the player’s disposal, with weapon types ranging from standard pistols to rifles and chainguns. Marvelous Entertainment previously released a handful of screenshots highlighting the various weapons in Peach Beach Splash, however an official gameplay trailer has yet to surface. For those who are interested- at their own cautious discretion– the animated opening sequence has been revealed courtesy of the official Marvelous YouTube channel.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will release exclusively for the PS4 in Japan on 3/16/2017. Two Limited Editions were announced, one of which- the one with the “life-size” mousepad- is already unavailable.
