Hopefully the first of many, Tracer is the first Overwatch character featured in Good Smile’s Nendoroid series.
Blizzard’s first venture into competitive-FPS territory quickly evolved into a global sensation less than a year after its cross-platform launch; Overwatch spawned its own official eSports league, won the “Game of the Year” award at the 2016 Game Awards ceremony, and birthed one of the largest fan-cultures of modern gaming.
Overwatch developer and publisher Blizzard has two collectibles of their own for their first FPS title; Reaper is still available to order, however Tracer quickly sold out shortly after her announcement. Fortunately, Japan’s Good Smile Company will have an Overwatch collectible of their own, expected to arrive in late-Summer/early-Fall. Revealed this morning, Tracer will have her own Nendoroid figure, complete with Pulse Pistols, Pulse Bomb and three heads that capture Tracer’s energetic expressiveness. The collectible includes special accent pieces that allow owners to recreate her “Blink” ability; Tracer’s hair also features an independent joint in her bangs “specifically designed” so fans can display the figure in her Heroic Highlight Intro pose.
Pre-orders for GSC’s Overwatch “Classic Skin Edition” Tracer Nendoroid figure will open tomorrow morning; collectibles are priced at 4,900 JPY/$42.80 USD, and has a tentative shipping window of August 2017.
