‘Guilty Gear Xrd’ “Sol Badguy” Statue Returns This Summer

One of the first Guilty Gear Xrd collectibles, the Sol Badguy statue returns this Summer with an alternate color scheme.

Collectible manufacturer Embrace Japan had the pleasure of debuting the first official collector’s item for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. Released in February 2015, the 1/8th scale Sol Badguy statue was modeled after his latest incarnation from Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. Standing at approximately 24cm/9.4in, Sol is depicted with his hair spiraling around his body, with his right hand gripping onto his signature Junkyard Dog MK III sword. Though the statue is primarily one piece apart from the base and support rod, Sol’s belt is loosely fastened to his waist by chains, while the lighter-based sword sits firmly in his hand.

Akin to the Ramlethal Valentine statue from FREEing and Max Factory, Embrace Japan’s Sol Badguy statue will get an alternate version scheduled to release sometime this Summer. The pose is identical to the original collectible, however the new color scheme is based on Sol Badguy’s “Color No. 4” option in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-; the statue features a brown-skinned Sol Badguy with blonde hair, all clad in black. The base still retains its broken terrain design, but now sports checkerboard paint.

The 1/8th scale Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Sol Badguy Color 4 statue from Embrace Japan can be pre-ordered through Play-Asia for $109.99. The collectible is expected to release sometime this Summer.
