The debut gameplay trailer forĀ Injustice 2 has officially arrived.
Previously teased through Ed Boon’s Twitter account and prematurely revealed through a social media leak, Injustice 2 was officially announced this past Wednesday. A direct continuation of Netherrealm’s bleak take on the DC Comics universe, Injustice 2 adds RPG elements to the comic book Fighter, as players can now earn armor parts, attack variations and other customization options through the new Gear System.
A new gameplay trailer debuted this evening during the ESL MKX Pro League Season 3 Finals. Supergirl was just the first of the new characters, as DC fans can now see Red Lantern Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd fighting alongside Batman, Superman, Aquaman and other returning fighters. One of the theatrical selling points of Injustice: Gods Among Us, stage transitions can be seen, with characters thrown and blasted through destructible areas of each arena.
Injustice 2 will release for the Xbox One and PS4 sometime in 2017.
