Netherrealm Studios is giving Injustice fans the chance to participate in a closed beta test for both platforms.
The Rogues Gallery of DC Comics heroes and villains are gearing up for another politically-charged war in Injustice 2, coming this May to the Xbox One and PS4. Developed by Mortal Kombat creator Netherrealm Studios, Injustice 2 is set shortly after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us, with Superman imprisoned for establishing a vengeful dictatorship upon the world and other superheroes in response to the destruction of Metropolis.
Netherrealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon recently left another cryptic message on Twitter, this time showing a sequence of Greek letters, with the character for “Beta” missing:
Boon’s message came full circle yesterday morning, as the official Injustice 2 website added an online beta registration page. Launch and active testing windows have not been announced, but interested fans currently have the option of registering for either a PS4 or Xbox One code; codes will be delivered shortly before the online beta test begins.
Injustice 2 will release for the Xbox One and PS4 on 5/16. A Season Pass has not been announced, however players can technically pre-purchase either 3 or 9 future DLC characters by pre-ordering the “Deluxe Edition” ($79.99) or “Ultimate Edition” ($99.99).
