‘Onechanbara Z2: Chaos’ Comes To NA In Two Weeks

The latest chapter of the Onechanbara franchise arrives in North America later this month.

The Onechanbara franchise began as one of the many projects from the “Simple 2000 Series”. During the mid-2000’s, developer Tamsoft and publisher D3 created a slew of “budget” titles for the PS2, many of which were satirical takes on elements of Japanese pop culture. Though D3’s project has since been discontinued, several franchises have spawned from the Simple Series, including Earth Defense Force and Onechanbara.

As previously revealed in March, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos will release for the PS4 in North America this Summer; North American localization and publishing will be handled by XSEED. Both a digital and physical version will be available for purchase at $39.99, with the retail copy being the “Banana Split Limited Edition”. The physical release includes everything originally packaged in Japan’s limited edition, including additional DLC costumes, an art book and a physical copy of the Z2: Chaos soundtrack.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos will release exclusively for the PS4 on 7/21.
