‘Killer Instinct: Season 3’ Now Available For Xbox One And PC

The highly anticipated third season of Killer Instinct content has finally come to Xbox One and PC.

After a nearly 17 year absence, the sounds of “Ultra Combo” and “Awesome Victory” returned to home consoles with 2013’s Killer Instinct reboot for the Xbox One. Initially developed by Double Helix, Killer Instinct opts to administer content through “Seasons”, rather than having a traditional content-rich launch; players can download the title for free with Jago and Sabrewulf immediately playable, however the player must purchase the full Season to unlock the rest of the game. After the debut content window, Killer Instinct: Season 2 saw the releases of a Story Mode, reworked online system, and the debut of four new characters- Kan-Ra, Aganos, Hisako and ARIA.

Earlier today, Killer Instinct: Season 3 went live to purchase on Xbox Live and the Windows 10 Store. The latest season offers the most launch-window characters to-date, featuring Rash, Kim Wu, Arbiter and Tusk. As suggested by leaked screenshots, Mira and Gargos have been confirmed as future characters to be added to the roster in the coming months. He may be absent from the Season 3 launch trailer, however General RAAM of Gears of War fame may release later this year.

Killer Instinct: Season 3 is available for Xbox One and PC exclusively for Windows 10. Anyone who purchases a copy through either Xbox Live or the Windows 10 Store will receive the title on both platforms, as Killer Instinct: Season 3 is a cross-buy title that supports cross-saves between Xbox One and PC.
