‘Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-‘ Gets New Overview Video

With the Japanese console release on the horizon, Arc System Works released an overview video of the new modes and characters within Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-.

Though Japanese gamers have had access to Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- through arcades since last August, the console versions will arrive next month, with the North American and European versions both coming in June. To get players ready for the PS4 and PS3 release, developer Arc System Works released a new overview video showcasing the various changes and upgrades to be found in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-. The entire video is presented in Japanese, however Guilty Gear fans will catch glimpses of the following features and updates:

Like its predecessor Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, the console versions will include both an Arcade Mode-based story for each character, leading into a lengthy plot presented in visual novel format; -REVELATOR- will feature an enhanced online Lobby mode enabling players to roam and interact with others in a 3D environment using customizable avatars; players still have the option to save match replays, however each saved match now has a cinematic camera shift when viewed; M.O.M (“Medal of Millionaires”) Mode has been slightly altered, as missions are now presented in character-specific lists; for those just now getting into the Guilty Gear series, the simplified Stylish Mode (shown with a Dualshock 4 controller) control scheme, Dojo Mode and Tutorial are all shown; while the five new characters are all shown, Dizzy is still missing-in-action.

The Japanese-exclusive Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- “Limited Box” is shown in the closing moments, which includes an art book, live concert CD, and a bonus BluRay disc with recent tournament highlight footage.

Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- will release for PS3 and PS4 in Japan on 5/26, followed by the North American and European releases on 6/7 and 6/10.
